The vaccine is free of charge. Please contact the reception staff in early September for details of when the vaccination clinics will be held.
MenACWY Vaccine
The MenACWY Vaccine helps protect you from four types of meningitis and blood poisoning – Men A, C, W and Y. But there are other types so you need to know the signs and symptoms. Being aware could help keep you and your friends safe. Click here for more information.
Pneumonia Vaccination
It is strongly recommended that every patient over the age of 65 years has a pneumonia vaccination. The vaccine is also strongly recommended for all patients with heart or kidney disease and those with asthma, chronic bronchitis or diabetes as well as those in nursing or residential homes. The vaccine is free of charge and, according to current advice, need only be given once in a lifetime.
Travel Immunisations/Vaccinations
Please make an appointment at least eight weeks in advance of your holiday to ensure adequate cover. A charge will be made for certain immunisations and vaccinations which are not covered by the NHS. A list of these charges is available at reception. Vaccinations cannot be arranged at short notice. Nor can we usually provide those required for multiple destinations. Additional information can be found at the NHS travel vaccination page. Yellow fever vaccination cannot be given at this surgery. It is, however, available from either of the following:
- The Roding Hospital, telephone 020 8551 1100
- South Woodford Health Centre, telephone 020 8491 3333
